You must register for exams through the Computer & Engineering Technologies Division Office, (919) 866-5396, by 12 Noon the day before the exam. Please note that students can only challenge an exam ONE TIME.

- You MUST REGISTER for the challenge through the CET Division Office, (919) 866-5396 by 12 Noon the day before the exam.
- You MUST be REGISTERED and show a PAID RECEIPT for the class(es) you are challenging.
- You MUST bring a photo ID.
- You MUST pass the theory with 80% or better in order to take the hands-on portion. You must receive an 80% or better on both parts to pass the challenge. No letter grade is given—just credit.
- You can challenge a course ONE TIME ONLY.
- Exam starts promptly at 5:30 p.m.
*Four Year Institutions MAY NOT accept challenged courses. You must take the class in order to get transfer credit from a University.
**This is the only date available. This is not negotiable. There are NO exceptions to the above rules and requirements.
For CIS 115, please see Dr. Leung or Dr. Wang in the Computer Programming Department. For challenge exams in other departments, you should contact the appropriate department head.
